Biochar is produced by burning biomass in the absence of oxygen and is the lightweight black residue, made of carbon and ashes, remaining after the pyrolysis of biomass, and is a form of charcoal.
When added to soil Biochar adds drainage and helps detoxify the soil by absorbing toxins and unwanted nutrients and minerals.
